  City of Chandler and For Our City are excited to announce the 2019 Chandler Volunteer Recognition Awards! This year faith groups, non-profits, schools, businesses or any other group with volunteers are able to nominate individuals in a number of categories. Please fill out the application below to submit your nomination! (Please note: these awards are for service from Jan 2018 thru Dec 2018.)

  1. Makes it Happen Award

This nominee works for many organizations, with the goal of contributing anywhere and everywhere, in any way they can.

  2. Sunbeam Award

This nominee is the most cheerful person in the place! They have the best personality, attitude, and they are always smiling. Their mere appearance brightens the area around them.

  3. Longevity Award

This nominee has worked for an organization for many years – they provide a commitment and dedication to their service that is awe inspiring.

  4. Innovation Award

This nominee brings creative and unique solutions to the job. Please share an example of the nominees on the job resourcefulness.

  5. Youth Award

This nominee is strictly for youth, 17 and younger. This nominee can be dedicated, positive, and hardworking or somehow stand out among others.

  6. Multitasking Maestro Award

This nominee is someone who takes on a diverse array of multiple assignments, jobs or objectives at the same time and can juggle them effectively, while accomplishing all of them successfully.

  7. Strong Arms Award

This nominee is not afraid to take on any job no matter how “down-n-dirty” it may be. This nominee may also be called the “jack-of-all-trades” in an organization.

  8. Working Together Award

This award is for a group (in any organization) who completed a group volunteer project in Chandler.  
  9. 1,000 Hour Volunteers

All volunteers with over 1,000 hours will get a lapel pin and certificate from the Mayor. Please Submit an application for all your volunteers with over 1,000 hours.

  Applications will be open Thursday, November 1 thru Monday, December 3, 2018. The Volunteer Recognition Breakfast is scheduled for February 2018 and will be an invite only event. Thank you!
• Nominee’s work and/or service must take place primarily in Chandler. • Nominees from previous years can be nominated again, provided they were not previously selected as an honoree. • Nominees will be reviewed on the basis of work or service which is directed to the betterment of Chandler. • Current employees of organizations that belong to the CNPC are not eligible for awards, but are eligible to submit nominations. • Nominations will not be accepted after the posted deadline. • Honorees must be available to attend the breakfast in Feb 2019 to accept their award. • Honorees must be available for interviews and photographs • Honorees will be notified early January 2019 • Breakfast invites will be sent out early January 2019 via email
